In that time, we were able to amass a membership base committed to achieving our objective that generously devoted time, energy, and funds to this effort.
After months of investigation, coordination, evaluation, and effort, last month a property was purchased that will house the eventual center.
La Casa Italiana is now registered and awaiting the final approval for its c 3 status, which will be retroactive to September 22, To fulfill its mission, the Casa Italiana plans is to transform the existing property into a meeting place that will include an Italian library, a museum preserving the documents and photos that trace the heritage and contributions of Italians in the Pacific Northwest, a large hall and commercial kitchen for gatherings and events, smaller meeting rooms, the office of the Italian honorary consul, educational facilities, gift shop, and, of course, an espresso bar.
Shall we continue to operate as an organization separate from the Casa Italiana, or shall we cease our operations and let our volunteers contribute to shaping the cultural activities of Casa Italiana?
The Board will bring a formal resolution that addresses this question to the membership at the upcoming annual meeting on October Over the next two weeks, you will receive more information on the resolution.

Portuguese Il Punto is a c 3 non-profit organization. Shared the Caesar salad with my wife good choice - large and delicious. My husband has never Rudolf Moshammer me finish my plate but I ate everything on it.An excellent kitchen with real Italian plates with a particular menu on the Sicilian Region and Southern Italy kitchen. A very good variety of wines.
Staff very efficient and A special mention and thank to the General Manager Andrea and Alfredo. Lovely place, attentive staff and lovely food with large portion sizes.
Would definitely eat here again. We had eggplant parm which was excellent. I like the eggplant when it is not breaded, and that is exactly how it was prepared here.
The spaghetti was cooked al dente but was nothing special. We also had a tagliatelle with duck ragout. We started with a Caesar salad which tasted fine but the Romain had been shredded like you put on a taco.
Warm focaccia came with the meal. The service was good, and the location convenient. This is a good Italian restaurant with a very convenient midtown location.
Filet mignon was okay but lacked any salt and pepper, defedenately not worth the money. Desserts tasted like straight from a can, not homemade.
Wine was ok and staff friendly. My wife and I recently had a wonderful dinner at iL Punto. We were staying in the Hilton Garden Inn which was a short walk from the restaurant.
The food was very good and the service was excellent. Close to our hotel, saw the good ratings and was not disappointed. Shared the Caesar salad with my wife good choice - large and delicious.
Wife had the lasagna and I the Veal Marsala - both excellent. Veal is not medallions, but rather a loin Very good service - not rushed and informative.
Like most NY eateries - not that large so I'd recommend a reservation. Located near several hotels in the Hells Kitchen area.
